increase the value of the company. I"m not sure they have the following to pop the stock up to $3.00. We'll see but this is a very profitable order.

This article just hit the LA TImes about Balqons new Chairman of the board.

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-china-rv-20110125,0,4662023.story

On Tuesday, a heavy-duty truck, tractor and electrical systems maker in Los Angeles County that is also owned partly by Chung will announce that he has ordered $15.9 million worth of electric vehicle drive systems made in Southern California for buses in China.

Balqon Corp., based in Harbor City near Long Beach, said it expects to hire 150 workers over the next 18 months to build 300 electric vehicle drive systems to power buses carrying 15 to 40 passengers each. The drive systems are being purchased by Chung's company in China, Winston Global Energy

I don't see anything posted about this on I-Hub or yahoo forums. Wonder how this will affect volume and price. Could have a monster day if the word spreads. I can't imagine this not hitting the wires soon. Nice call BTW

Looks like buy the rumor sell the news for now..... Tip my cap nattygas for finding this guy prior to the pop and news nice work.....Market cap of this guy is 40 million so has quite a bit of expectations built in at current prices (when the news is 16 million in revenue deal) so I'd keep your expectations in check.....could be a big winner long term if their electric drive systems pan out but don't expect this guy to fly like crazy anytime soon IMO.....seems like a one trick pony who's future (as far as bringing the shareholders value) rests on how things go with Chung and the electric rv

That said I think you might be onto something long term (the deal is for small busses not rvs now that i reread it) the key to the whole thing which you pointed out was the Chung dude who seems to be rich and politically connected (big key to china's psudo capitalism)

Plus what profit margins are we talking 55k per system but what does it cost to make?

On my watch list for down the road potential

Near term though playing news after a swift double prior to it tends to be playing with fire as far as small caps go....

Well, thanks Tiz. I have picking up shaers on the cheap for a year now but knew once Winston came aboard at 65 cents that buying shares anywhere near that was probably safe. Plus, BLQN is my client of 3 years so I have high expectations.

http://www.altenergystocks.com/ This is a good article. This is not a promotional piece at all. Tom K has a reputation of pounding companies he feels suck. He gets paid for his opinion / research, not for promotion so you never know what you'll get. This was before the order but he has a price range he felt the stock should be at. It will take another order to get this thing in the $3 range.

We'll see.

Good luck.

hard to say it does have a nice base down below a buck....and IMO could have some future unlike a huge majority of the ob stocks i look at.....

but i had my suspecions the buy the rumor sell the news was coming especially figuring in the company was priced around 40 million at a 1.50 share price.....

might be worth a shot for the gamblers out there on a dip back to sub 1 dollar

cleared out sell stops today taking it all the way down to 81 cents in the morning.....the MMs really have fun with these types that don't have that much float/volume and shake rattle and roll the average joe playing these.....

the fact that it pumped leading up to the news...and dropped after the news.....is a great sign for the long term....tells me the smart guys want in.....and are playing games with the little guys emotions chasing news.....

usually pump a dump schemes pump the news hard when it comes.....hype the crap outta it....before the dump it.....

also tanner my read on art/nattygas is he isn't a kuwl type pumper...kuwl was your classic pump a dumper with his style.....

my initial kneejerk reaction to this was pump a dump and i didn't really pay much attention to it nor look at it...but once i saw it perk up on no easy to find news my ears finally perked up and gave it a look....and i really like to see the buy the rumor sell the news action.....smart money bid it up prior it....and sold/dispersed it to others that bought the news at elevated prices

art could be wrong...and this guy may not have a future....but i think moderate chance it could do something big long term and could be worth a gamble at a lower price...and my read on art is that he means well and isn't a pump a dumper.....

hope you take no offense art......in analyzing your motivations.....just alot of pump a dump nonsense online to sift through

Let me help you rookies out.

A pump and dump is the last thing this deal is. Look at another client of mine. Crowdgather. That is a classic pump and dump run by pros with deep pockets who know how to build a shareholder base.

A company needs at least 5K shareholders to have an orderly market. Guess how many BLQN had before the 15M order? I think they said 550 or something silly. So in 3 years the company only has 500 holders. Of those, I bet I personally know 150 of them. The float is very tight.

I'll show you guys the next pump and dump I know of. I posted about BLQN I think around 90 cents or something. When Mr. Chung invested $5M at 65 cents last month I just alerted you guys. I felt there was a very good chance the stock was worth more than 50 cents. I also had a 'feeling' we'd get a nice order.

The stock went from 50 cents to a high of $1.90.

Seriously, nobody knows about this company. For a OTCBB to really trade the fundamentals better be great if you are not going ot spend $1M on a direct mail campaign. This company is the exact opposite of a pump and dump. Nobody knows of it. I will load the F up if this thing goes under a buck and if it falls to 50 cents I'll buy more.

Here is the deal. "If" BLQN hires a proven CEO and Samra goes to COO where he belongs I would almost guarantee this beetch hits $5.00 inside of 9 months. Samra has no clue how to run the public side of a company. I've reached out. I'll tell you what, I'm pitching him next week. If he hires me to build the base I'm just going to posts, "I cannot talk about the stock, I'll be working for the company." We will build awareness and we'll build this stock the way it's supposed to grow.

I still think Samra and CHung can grow this thing. I believe they will be on the AMEX before the end of the year but I'm hoping before Sept. The balance sheet is really going to look good assuming they can deliver a bunch of the trucks and drive trains each quarter.

I saw a few market makers drop off on Tuesday and today it did what I was hoping it wouldn't but its not a bad thing the deal is finding its comfort spot. It could go down under a buck based on what I'm seeing but today the support seemed solid at $1.20.

FYI, I bought a lot of this sheeet between 20 cents and a buck. I sold probably 20% of my position over 1.50 the last few weeks. I will probalby buy that 20% back if it falls much more. I do think this company will be big time but it will really speed that process up with a proven CEO (time will tell if I'm right).

Good luck boys.

might nibble on this guy a bit here soon we'll see how next few days go....

back to 1.00 today....2nd highest volume behind the recent top day.....since the action picked up the past month or so....think buyers support starting to come in now....after some holders decided to cash in on the recent big pop after the news came out.....

tiz. I think the 90 cent range is a very good risk / reward point. If I was a betting man, which I am, I'd say we'll hit $3.00 before 50 cents.

I originally bought $150K at $1.00 with a bunch of associates. I think we gave them close to $2.2M or so in 2008 a month before the economy collapsed. BLQN had just got their first order from the port of LA for$5.5M and they were expecting a $100M order from the port so when that money dried up the company kind of sat there for 1.5 years.

They said, "We need to start selling to somebody other than the port." I think they are well positioned and I expect big things in 2011. If they find the right group to help their stock on the PR/IR side then watch out. It only took about $400K of buying to move this from 60 cents when I posted my big alert to buy and $1.90. There was only real support in the $1.50-$1.60 range but somebody put a market order in and it hit the $1.90. haha

I have a few buddies who were thinking about coming in but if you can get some in the 90 cent range it seems nice. As long as there are weak holders of the stock might as well get them out at these lower prices.

Good luck. FYI, I think I am one of the biggest non-affiliate holders. Maybe top 5 or so. I have about 350K shares but I'm long on this bitch. I did sell a few shares in the 1.55 range and bought some back at 1.25 the other day. Should ahve waited longer.

tiz... you definately recognized BLQN wasn't just a pump and dump. It has yet to be pumped. I was going to post last week and say its probably a good time to pick up shares. I had the biggest shareholder in the company call me and offer to buy all my shares at $1.05. I was also asked if I would sell my $1.50 warrants for a nominal price. I almost did this but decided against it. My thought is if these guys want my warrants so bad something big must be happening soon because my warrants expire in the summer.

What else happened? Oh, I found a quote from Mr. Chung saying he expects to send BLQN 500K more orders for his drive trains at $52K a pop. That's like $26B. When I started asking questions I got the impression the quote was real. I think that is why the stock is moving. We will find out soon.

The market cap is still very VERY small. Look at ZAAP vs. BLQN. ZAAP is trading 4X BLQN's market cap and our company, balance sheet, fundamentals and potential are much greater. Top that off with ZAAP competes with Tesla, TM, Nissian, Hyundai, and a million other no-name electric car companies. BLQN's only competitor is clean diesel and Westport (Natural Gas).

I still love the risk / reward at $1.20. There are not many shares available under $1.50

CHOP

This was yesterday:

http://www.bloomberg.com/video/67197946/

If you notice, BLQN is the ONLY company publicly traded that doesn't press release sheeeet like this. Samra (CEO) isn't a good salesman but he's getting much better at interviews.

It would cost BLQN $150.00 to press release this stuff and maybe tell us, the prospective investors or current investors, what they have been doing. For instance, how many trucks have they shipped this quarter? How many have they shipped to Ford? That's a press release, "BLQN ships first 3 trucks to Ford Motor company to run their new state-of-art manufacturing facility."

It's crazy. 'IF' the c ompany decides to hire somebody that knows how to run a public company this stock should really run. There is 3 millions warrants at $1.50 but the people (like me) who own these all have stock and you can see nobody is selling so they are probably like me and are long term. My goal is to wait until they apply for NASDAQ and bring in a new CEO. The company will have a big run once they get to the big board. I think $1.20 is cheap for this sheeeet. Crappy companies like ZAAP (electric car company competing with TM and the 100000 other electric car companies) is trading at 4X our valuation and we have real orders, no competition and a future.

Thanks for the info man.

I bought 500 the other day after much debate with myself. I have been down the OTC road before, and as you can imagine it was not pretty.
I have not bought a junk stock in over 5 years until I read this thread.

I liked what you posted so I started some research.
One of the first things I noticed was there is not a whole lot of buzz about this stock ANYWHERE!

After I thought about it for a while, I came to the conclusion that in a way thats a good thing.
I am 100% sure that this is at least a legit company with a quality product.

Based on what little I have read, they have huge demand also with a backlog of orders, but does not have the capital to fill all the orders.

This is good and bad. At least they have something that people want. Maybe the new capital they just got can jumpstart them.
Finding the money is an easier problem to solve then having a product that nobody wants, or having too much competition in your field to compete.

I love the low market cap. This thing could really take off.

But this company really needs some leadership from what I see.

I know I wont get rich with 500 shares, but its enough to keep my interested. At least its a small diversion from all my boring large caps, and ETF's.

They had 10 trucks last year they could not deliever but you know they just got $5M from Winston Chung and Winston has billions. This is CHungs baby and if you can afford to just forget about this deal for one year I think you'll wake up and this pupply will be on the AMEX by year end. Once the institutions can get involved turn out the lights.

The only reason I hate this deal is the CEO. I know him. He's a great guy. Very smart but he's an engineer with no charisma. He needs to run the operations and we need a real CEO. Once this happens just buy more. I am waiting for the next big announcement.

This is a high risk / high reward stock. I am betting this company will make the moves they need to be a legit AMEX company this year. Barring another collapse of the system I'm hoping for at least $3.00 by summer. Gas pricing going up is only going to help.
